This is the first of the Deadtime Stories series and a cryptic treat to say the least! You will accompany the main character, Jesse Bodeen and learn her incredible story. She specialized in voodoo many years ago and is now a resident of a haunted cemetery tended by a man named Edward Blackgate, who carefully selects its visitors.

It all takes place in various locations in New Orleans, which is richly depicted and vividly presented as well as amazingly convincing given the stunning environments and excellent quality voice acting. You will feel like you're there and time will past swiftly as you become immersed in this enthralling tale.

You will be searching for ingredients for the voodoo potion concoctions throughout the hidden object scenes, as they will need to be completed in order to advance the story. Many scenes will contain an object for your "inventory" which will be useful in solving puzzles throughout the game.

Game play is a perfect blend of dark creepiness and mind numbing fun. You can skip puzzles if you'd like, but it is doubtful most players will want to as they are quite interesting and cleverly executed. Items of interest and areas requiring attention are indicated by a glowing purple mist, yet it does not take away from the challenge and offers just the right amount of assistance. Hints may also be used if you find yourself stuck. Use carefully, as it takes a little time to recharge.

It will be especially captivate those of you who favor the dark and mystical type of hidden object adventures. If you love this one, you'll want to watch for others to follow in the Deadtime Stories' series, which is certain to be a thrilling favorite among seasoned and new gamers alike.
