Why would anyone abandon such a grand and captivating mansion? Well, someone has done just that and Stan Riddle, in an attempt to prove his valiant masculinity, decides to check it out. Needless to say, he's in for a perilous trip into the supernatural. During his brave exploration, he happens upon a strange mirror. That's not so unusual for a grand manor, and probably would have gone unnoticed by Stan if it were not for the startling realization that what appeared in the reflection was not him!

Maybe the owner didn't abandon the magnificent manor after all. As Stan stared into the ominous mirror, it suddenly shatters and Stan finds himself in another dimension, his soul imprisoned by the Lord of Mirrors. He is not the only one. He discovers other souls, trapped just like him. Not all of them are good, but nonetheless, their help will be necessary if Stan is to break free. Of course, no one gets something for nothing. What will it cost Stan to get out of this bizarre and chilling mirror world?

Of course, you will help him by searching for hidden objects and piecing together clues. Most of the objects you are looking for are what they are, not much in the way of looking for different objects for the same word. Items must be collected and used for a particular task in order to move forward. There are hints if you really need them, but for seasoned players, it's unlikely you'll need to use them. The mini games are varying puzzles that break up the search factor and offer a moderate yet fun challenge; however they may be skipped if you choose.

You will complete 4 or 5 hours worth of creepy and involving puzzles. The presentation is particularly well done, with plenty of spooky details and added touches that make game play particularly alluring. The audio and visuals are fantastic, and may even bring on goose bumps! Hidden object/adventure lovers will appreciate and enjoy this ghostly expedition whether you've been playing for years or you're a complete newbie.

If you really love Haunted Manor: Lord of Mirrors, you can purchase the collector's edition, available for a premium price. It includes wallpapers and a walkthrough as well as an extra level, offering an even greater challenge, as it offers no hints. This game is definitely one that may be played more than once and be equally entertaining each time.
